Our holiday home is located in the middle of the former park of the small castle Utzschneider, the founder of the Faiencerie in Saargemünd. You have a wonderful view of the castle and a beautiful fountain. In the immediate vicinity you will find shops of all kinds and in twenty minutes you can reach the city centre of Saargemünd on foot. The region has a lot to offer: visit the Faiencerie Museum, the five-star Saarland Spa or one of the many gourmet restaurants. Other tourist attractions are the Völklinger Hütte, the European Cultural Park Bliesbrück Reinheim, the Citadel of Bitch, the Simserhof and much more. Le bois de Robin is also an excellent starting point for sporting activities. Discover the extensive network of cycle paths and several golf courses in the surrounding area. The wonderful landscape is the Biosphere Reserve Biesgau - Germany's orchid country, in which almost half of all orchid species occurring nationwide grow. Cultural highlights are the Christmas market and the Saint Paul festival at the end of June. There is much to discover!
